Associate Vice President, Total Rewards (Hybrid, GTA)

About the role

The Associate Vice President, Total Rewards will lead the design, delivery and evolution of enterprise‑wide compensation, benefits and retirement programs for a large, multi‑segment retail workforce. Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards and HR Operations, the role ensures programs are competitive, compliant and aligned with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage broad‑based compensation, benefits and retirement/savings programs.
• Control costs, optimize utilization and navigate legacy program complexities.
• Lead a total rewards team and partner cross‑functionally to implement scalable strategies.
• Translate data‑driven insights into actionable cost‑management and benefits‑optimization initiatives.
• Maintain governance, manage ambiguity and support organizational change.

• Seasoned total rewards leader with commercial acumen and technical depth.
• Experience operating in large, complex organizations and balancing competing priorities.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to turn insights into clear strategies.
• Strong credibility with senior stakeholders and collaborative, hands‑on leadership style.
