Associate Sales Professional – Edmonton (Acheson)

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, which describes itself as having the most extensive transportation network in North America, is offering an opportunity to start a career in sales. The Associate Sales Professional is based at the Edmonton (Acheson) location and works on securing new customers, introducing new services to existing ones and managing a current account base. The position is described as transitional, leading eventually to an Outside Sales role.

Key responsibilities

• Source and secure new customers
• Manage the current account base, including introducing new services and technologies
• Develop new opportunities through collaboration with field sales, targeted cold calls and competitive research
• Support the Sales Team and/or take part in regional or divisional initiatives
• Occasional travel and in-person sales meetings may be required

Required profile

• College or university graduate
• Results-oriented, self-motivated and a strong communicator
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience or knowledge of the transportation industry is an advantage
