Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Spine Neurosurgery

About the role

The Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University seeks a full‑time clinical faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment is for three years (renewable) and focuses on spine surgery within the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro).

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical spine surgery services at The Neuro.
• Develop and maintain an active clinical and research program in spine neurosurgery.
• Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and graduate students.
• Participate in academic and administrative committees.
• Contribute to scholarly activities, including publications and grant applications.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid license to practice in Canada.
• Specialized training and experience in spine neurosurgery.
• Demonstrated record of clinical excellence and research productivity.
• Experience in medical education and supervision of trainees.
