Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – General Pediatrics

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (McGill University Health Centre) invites applications for a full‑time clinician‑scientist position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical). This Contract Academic Staff role does not carry tenure eligibility and requires a strong commitment to both clinical care and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for at least two service streams within the division and fulfill on‑call duties.
• Supervise and teach medical students and residents in pediatric settings.
• Participate in all clinical and administrative division meetings.
• Allocate 50‑75% of professional time to research activities as a member of the Research Institute of the MUHC.
• Collaborate with the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation on translational and outcomes‑focused projects.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in pediatrics and eligibility for licensure in Quebec.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in general pediatrics.
• Strong record of scholarly activity, including peer‑reviewed publications and/or funded research.
• Ability to dedicate the majority of effort to research while maintaining clinical responsibilities.
• Experience in medical education, epidemiology, health‑services research, quality improvement, or knowledge translation is preferred.
