About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at McGill University seeks an academic clinician to lead its Division of Neonatal Medicine and Follow‑Up. This full‑time, open‑rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor – Clinical) position combines clinical excellence with academic leadership in a major teaching hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the Division of Neonatal Medicine and Follow‑Up, overseeing clinical care for in‑born and out‑born high‑risk newborns.
• Provide strategic leadership for a team of 14 neonatologists, pediatricians, and associate staff.
• Develop and sustain research programs in quality improvement, hemodynamics, physiological monitoring, and neonatal neurocritical care.
• Guide educational activities for trainees and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Manage the Neonatal Follow‑Up program for NICU graduates with special needs.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent in Neonatology or Pediatric Medicine.
• Demonstrated experience in academic clinical practice, research, and teaching.
• Proven leadership or administrative experience in a neonatal or pediatric setting.
• Eligibility for appointment as a Contract Academic Staff member at McGill University.
