Assistant Supervisor Intramural Sports

About the role

The Assistant Supervisor supports the Intramural Sports Manager in delivering group sport classes and private lessons at McGill University’s Currie Gymnasium. Working part‑time, you will help ensure smooth daily operations, supervise instructors, and maintain a safe, organized environment for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct staff orientation and training clinics for new instructors.
• Review and suggest edits to group class formats and related documents.
• Assist in creating and maintaining the schedule for group classes and private lessons.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and organization.
• Schedule and supervise 10‑20 AMUSE Sports Instructors, including approving their time entries in Workday.
• Attend required staff meetings and monitor daily/nightly activities.
• Prepare and submit season‑end reports to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Referee certification or relevant sport experience.
• Previous experience supervising staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with participants.
• Bilingual in French and English (written and verbal).
• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

• Annual salary range from $57,090 to $77,230 CAD.
