Assistant Professor – Grant Tenure-Track (Respiratory Medicine)

About the role

The Division of Respiratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor on a grant‑tenure‑track basis. The successful candidate will join the Centre for Lung Health and contribute to the department’s research, teaching, and clinical missions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an innovative, grant‑supported research program addressing gaps in lung health.
• Collaborate with the Data Sciences and Health Research Cluster, Data Science Institute, and Academy of Translational Medicine.
• Engage in teaching, mentorship, and supervision of graduate and medical students.
• Maintain active clinical practice as a respirologist within the department.
• Report to the Head of the Department of Medicine through the Head of the Division of Respiratory Medicine.

Required profile

• Board‑certified respirologist with a strong research record.
• Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic environments.
• Willingness to work primarily on‑site at the Centre for Lung Health.
