Assistant Professor (Clinical) – Vascular Surgery

About the role

The Department of Surgery at McGill University Health Centre is seeking a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor to join its Division of Vascular Surgery. The position combines high‑volume clinical practice with an independent research program focused on fundamental vascular disease biology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultancy‑level clinical care for a broad range of vascular surgery cases, including open and endovascular procedures.
• Develop and lead an independent, fundable research program in vascular disease.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students in vascular surgery.
• Contribute to departmental service, including participation in the Non‑Invasive Vascular Laboratory.
• Collaborate with the Division’s research team, including a Research Director and research coordinators.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible vascular surgeon with extensive clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain external research funding and a strong publication record.
• Commitment to teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic environment.
