Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Respiratory Medicine (COPD)

About the role

The Department of Medicine at McGill University seeks a full‑time Clinician‑Teacher at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) to join the Division of Respiratory Medicine. The appointment is on a contract basis and focuses on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) clinical care, pulmonary rehabilitation, and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialized outpatient care in the COPD clinic and lead pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Participate in the COPD consultation service and support inpatient and outpatient respirology services across MUHC sites.
• Deliver both didactic and bedside teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives related to respiratory care.
• Contribute to the academic mission of the division through research and scholarly activities as appropriate.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or eligibility in pulmonology or respiratory medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in COPD management and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Experience in clinical teaching and mentorship of trainees.
• Strong commitment to academic medicine and collaborative practice.
