Assistant Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in delivering a high-quality omni-channel retail experience at the Lethbridge Centre Village location. This role combines customer service leadership, B2B commercial oversight, and day-to-day store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to provide consistent customer service, coaching staff and ensuring service model standards are met.
• Oversee the B2B commercial business function, including order entry, management and timely delivery.
• Drive omni-channel sales by handling in-store eCommerce transactions and fulfilling online orders within service levels.
• Manage inventory flow to the sales floor, shipping/receiving, cash handling and compliance with operating procedures.
• Prepare and execute annual inventory counts and ensure adherence to corporate policies, cash, audit and OH&S standards.
• Act as the Store Manager’s proxy, handling scheduling, shift starter meetings and daily game plan execution.
• Promote a positive, inclusive work environment and enforce performance management and disciplinary processes.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of retail experience with proven ability to coach, mentor and develop teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of building daily and weekly operational plans.
• High energy, enthusiasm and a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to follow corporate policies, cash and audit procedures, and health & safety standards.
• Basic computer proficiency.
