Assistant General Manager – Hospitality & Distillery

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to support the daily operations of our backcountry‑lodge‑inspired distillery restaurant and bar in downtown Banff. You will work closely with the General Manager and culinary team to ensure a memorable guest experience that reflects our brand values.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all venue areas, making quick, informed decisions to maintain service standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance in partnership with the General Manager.
• Control inventory, ordering of liquor and supplies, and monitor cost‑of‑goods, labor, and utility expenses.
• Handle financial administration, including invoices, reporting, and payroll compliance.
• Enforce sanitary practices, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining spaces.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Address guest complaints promptly and foster repeat business.
• Promote a positive team culture and lead by example on the floor.

Required profile

• Proven experience in restaurant or bar management.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and financial controls.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to brand standards and guest satisfaction.
