Asset Management Advisor - Network Planning

About the role

Suncor is seeking a strategic, analytical professional to lead economic evaluations and investment analysis that shape the Petro‑Canada network, capital portfolio, and long‑term growth strategy. The role works closely with senior leaders to translate complex data into clear, value‑driven recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead economic evaluations and strategic analysis supporting capital investments, portfolio rationalisation and network optimisation opportunities.
• Conduct market analysis and assess site performance to evaluate long‑term profitability of proposed network investments.
• Develop and optimise the Risk Mitigation and Compliance project portfolio, including long‑range capital plans and prioritisation.
• Support the preparation of capital and expenditure forecasts and present findings to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Network Planning, Project Planning, or Economic Analysis, preferably in Oil & Gas, downstream energy or retail fuels.
• University degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Engineering.
• Proven experience building and interpreting financial and economic models.
• Strong understanding of investment evaluation methodologies such as NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling and risk assessment.
• Advanced stakeholder‑management skills and ability to lead cross‑functional discussions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
