Architectural Project Manager, Ontario Line

About the role

Ontario Transit Group is recruiting an Architectural Project Manager for the Ontario Line South Civil, Stations and Tunnel project, a six-kilometre tunnel and four new underground stations being built alongside the existing GO Transit Exhibition and TTC subway stations. The role leads the planning, coordination, execution and delivery of complex architectural scopes, managing multidisciplinary teams while keeping safety, quality, schedule and budget objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute architectural works for assigned stations and facilities, and prepare monthly cost and progress reports
• Monitor schedule, cost, quality and scope, track milestones and implement corrective actions
• Oversee architectural construction, conduct site inspections and manage subcontractors, materials and equipment
• Organize weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and resolve interface conflicts
• Work with the design team, manage RFIs, administer change orders and liaise with civil, mechanical and electrical, logistics, safety and quality teams
• Foster a culture of health, safety, environmental stewardship and quality, manage NCRs and mentor project team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree is an asset
• At least 8 years of experience managing architectural construction projects, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, transit or transportation projects
• Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, schedules, change management and project reporting
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, with proven problem-solving in fast-paced construction environments

Required skills

• Understanding of architectural systems, construction methodologies, project controls and project management principles
• Knowledge of construction health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
• Proficiency with project management software, construction management platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
