Architect – Residential Design (Part‑Time/Full‑Time)

About the role

Join an award‑winning, collaborative design team that delivers residential projects across Greater Vancouver. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and focuses on high‑quality design, permitting, and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs for renovations, custom homes, multi‑unit and tenant‑improvement projects.
• Oversee on‑site measurements and produce as‑built drawings.
• Create construction and permitting working drawings using AutoCAD, based on sketches and design concepts.
• Generate 3D visualisations to support client presentations.
• Conduct on‑site meetings with clients, consultants, and team members.
• Act as a liaison with municipal authorities to facilitate permit applications.

Required profile

• Architect licensed with AIBC or actively pursuing certification.
• At least 10 years of experience in British Columbia residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of B.C. Building Code, Step Code, and municipal by‑laws.
• Experience with both renovation work and new Part 9 single‑family construction.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Commitment to health‑and‑safety standards and continuous learning.
