Apprentice Welder – Level 3 Training

About the role

TC Steel Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Welder to join its Edmonton manufacturing facility. This Level 3 apprenticeship provides hands‑on training in custom metal fabrication within an industrial setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW and FCAW techniques.
• Assist in the fabrication of custom steel components according to engineering drawings.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Handle and move loads up to 23 kg, maintain a clean work area, and manage tools and equipment.
• Work repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods and ensuring high quality and precision.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3 to less than 5 years of welding experience.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks, with good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Own reliable transportation to the work site.
• Punctual, hardworking team player with efficient interpersonal skills.
