Alterationist – Luxury Retail Tailoring

About the role

Join a leading luxury retailer in Calgary as an Alterationist, providing expert tailoring services that ensure every garment fits perfectly. You will work directly with clients and sales associates to deliver high‑quality alterations that reflect the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Measure clients and assess alteration scope.
• Pin, mark, and alter garments according to fabric type and fit requirements.
• Complete alterations to the highest technical standard and meet promised delivery dates.
• Communicate alteration charges and promised completion dates to clients.
• Collaborate with Sales Associates to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate alteration tags and follow the Holt Renfrew price list.
• Report supply needs or equipment repairs to the department manager.
• Keep the department clean, orderly, and compliant with health, safety, privacy, and cybersecurity policies.

Required profile

• Formal training in tailoring or seamstress work (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2 years of experience performing alterations on luxury fabrics.
• Clear communication skills in English and/or French.
