Advisor, Procurement and Purchasing

About the role

As a Procurement and Purchasing Advisor you will support Desjardins in finalising contractual agreements with partners for the acquisition and rental of goods and services. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal clients and external providers, helping to optimise sourcing strategies, contracts and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client needs, diagnose issues and define target outcomes.
• Conduct specialised analyses, prepare studies, write reports and make recommendations.
• Monitor operational performance, including external provider performance.
• Develop, update and improve policies, processes, standards and models supporting procurement projects.
• Evaluate results, benefits and service quality, and issue cost‑cutting and performance‑improvement recommendations.
• Represent the procurement unit before committees and liaise with external partners to establish business relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Strong customer focus, interpersonal skills and ability to learn quickly.
