Adjunct Faculty – MBA in Health Leadership & Innovation

About the role

The DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in its new online MBA in Health Leadership & Innovation. This 8‑week, fully online program is designed for professionals who want to drive change across the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate 8‑week online courses using a structured, asynchronous format with weekly live touchpoints.
• Set up and maintain course shells in Blackboard Ultra according to institutional guidelines.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and mentorship to graduate students.
• Support student engagement through discussion boards, video sessions, and virtual office hours.
• Collaborate with instructional support and school administration to ensure consistent delivery.
• Participate in faculty development and orientation sessions.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD, DHA, DBA, DrPH, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Public Health, Health Administration, Business, Law, Informatics, Data Science, Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline or substantial applied expertise.
• Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably online.
• Professional experience in the healthcare industry or health‑related innovation is preferred.
• Comfort with a learner‑centered, problem‑based teaching approach.
