Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our finance team and support a dedicated group of internal customers across Canada. You will be responsible for preparing and verifying monthly financial statements, analysing budget variances and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify monthly financial statements for assigned business units.
• Conduct monthly budget variance analysis.
• Serve as the contact person for client groups regarding accounting procedures and policies.
• Monitor internal control policies and complete required accounting reconciliations.
• Participate in special projects such as analyses and budget preparation.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting, preferably in the distribution sector.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English.
• Studies in accounting or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
