Academic Clinician – Pediatric Gastroenterology (Full‑time Faculty)

About the role

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is seeking a full‑time Academic Clinician to join the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) within the Department of Paediatrics. This permanent faculty position will support high‑volume tertiary and quaternary paediatric GI services and contribute to the division’s research and teaching missions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consults and ward service for paediatric GI patients.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, dilatation, polypectomy and bleeding control.
• Run outpatient clinics focused on luminal GI disorders, including eosinophilic conditions.
• Participate in the on‑call schedule for emergency endoscopy and GI care.
• Teach and mentor fellows in the GHN fellowship program.
• Engage in clinical research activities within the SickKids Research Institute.

Required profile

• Board‑certified paediatric gastroenterology with subspecialty training in paediatric endoscopy.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care of general GHN and luminal GI disorders.
• Commitment to academic teaching, mentorship and research.
