Waterblast Operator

About the role

The Waterblast Operator works in a casting environment, using high‑pressure water equipment to clean and prepare cast parts. The role ensures traceability, quality, and safety while maintaining a tidy work area.

Key responsibilities

• Verify routing card information and match it with castings and melt numbers.
• Maintain heat (traceability) tags and melt number tags on castings.
• Wash parts with high‑pressure water equipment and appropriate attachments.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of castings of varying values.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Sort and identify parts into correct departmental groups.
• Perform additional duties as required and adhere to company ethics, EHS programs, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Capability to understand and follow activity instructions.
• Comfort with extreme heat conditions.
• Commitment to company values, code of ethics, and health & safety policies.

Required skills

• Operation of high‑pressure water cleaning equipment.
• Use of measuring instruments for verification tasks.
• Handling of hoists for part movement.
