VFX Production Coordinator

About the role

Framestore in Montreal is seeking a VFX Production Coordinator on a short‑term, full‑time contract. The role sits at the heart of VFX project management, supporting artists and ensuring that shots progress smoothly through the pipeline to meet schedule and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Line Producers, Leads and Supervisors to track shot progression and meet internal and external deadlines.
• Organise dailies, rounds and meetings, taking detailed notes and following up on action items.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in Shotgun/Shotgrid, including shot statuses and targets.
• Communicate information quickly via chat, email or in‑person to crew and other departments.
• Manage client deliveries of temporary and final assets, oversee edits and package sends on a rotational basis.
• Keep artists and supervisors informed of client notes, shot changes and evaluate impact on work.
• Balance artist workload, anticipate concerns about targets or deadlines, and foster a positive, solution‑oriented environment.
• Perform other ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a VFX Production Coordinator on large‑scale film or episodic projects.
• Highly organised with strong time‑ and project‑coordination abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively toward common goals.
• Calm and confident in a fast‑paced environment with proven prioritisation skills.
• Good understanding of live‑action and CG visual‑effects workflows and pipelines.
• Willingness to learn Framestore proprietary tools.

Required skills

• Shotgun (Shotgrid) production tracking.
• Familiarity with VFX pipeline processes.
