Truck Driver – Transport (Green Job)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable transport truck driver to join our fleet and support Canada’s net‑zero goals. You will operate straight or articulated trucks, handling a variety of goods while ensuring safety and compliance on cross‑border and long‑haul routes.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport materials across provinces and borders.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip vehicle inspections, checking tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate cargo information and updates to central dispatch.
• Complete required documentation such as accident reports, bill of lading, dangerous‑goods occurrence reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports and trip reports.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years of professional truck‑driving experience.
• Valid commercial driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel cross‑border, overnight and internationally for extended periods.
• Pass criminal‑record check, driver‑licence verification and drug testing.
• Own safety equipment (steel‑toed boots, cellular phone) and basic tools.

• Documentation knowledge: accident/incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous‑goods reports.
• Driver logbook and vehicle inspection reporting.
• Maintenance and repair reporting.
• Trans‑border documentation and trip reporting.
