TikTok and Reels Video Editor & Content Creator

About the role

We are seeking a social‑native video editor and content creator who lives on TikTok and Instagram Reels. The role is remote, part‑time (≈20 hours/week) with the potential to grow, and focuses on turning long‑form interviews, podcasts, and archival footage into engaging short‑form clips that feel native to each platform.

Key responsibilities

• Edit long‑form content into 9:16 short‑form videos for TikTok and Reels.
• Identify viral moments and craft edits without detailed clip‑by‑clip instructions.
• Add captions, music, overlays, visuals, and transitions that match brand tone and current platform trends.
• Produce same‑day, mobile‑first edits for time‑sensitive moments.
• Stay ahead of TikTok and Reels trends, formats, sounds, and editing styles.

Required profile

• Deep familiarity with Gen Z culture and the tone, pacing, and hooks that drive engagement.
• Ability to work quickly, experiment with trends, and deliver high‑quality content consistently.
• Independent thinker who can pitch, refine, and execute editorial ideas.
• Passion for editing and shipping social content that feels fresh and intentional.

Required skills

• Professional video editing for short‑form social media.
• Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram Reels formats and trends.
• Experience adding captions, music, overlays, and transitions in 9:16 vertical video.
