About the role
McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management seeks an Assistant or Advanced Assistant Professor in Marketing on a tenure‑track basis, starting August 1 2027. Candidates must hold or be near completion of a Ph.D. by that date and will join a vibrant community of scholars dedicated to innovative research and high‑quality teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a cutting‑edge research agenda aligned with faculty priority areas such as Innovation, Analytics, AI & Advanced Digital Technologies, Sustainability, and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
- Publish research in top‑tier, peer‑reviewed marketing journals.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, incorporating contemporary methods and case studies.
- Supervise and mentor doctoral students.
- Contribute to the administration of the Marketing Area and the broader faculty.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Marketing (or related field) completed by August 2027.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑impact research and a strong record of publications in reputable journals.
- Evidence of effective teaching and a commitment to student mentorship.
- Interest in, or experience with, the faculty’s priority research themes.
