About the role
We are seeking two graduate teaching assistants for the course Scientific Writing Skills (MIMM 301) offered in the Winter 2027 term. The assistants will support students and faculty throughout the semester.
Key responsibilities
- Answer student questions on the discussion board and via email
- Set up and correct quizzes
- Assist in the logistics of grading writing assignments
- Correct assignments
- Provide support to students writing their outline and paper
- Assist faculty members with scheduling meetings with students and responding to emails
- Host and coordinate a journal club with students
- Enter grades into a spreadsheet
Required profile
- Graduate student at McGill University with a background in microbiology and immunology
- Exceptional mastery of written English
- Effective communication skills in English (French desirable)
- Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec
