Teaching Assistant – Introductory Immunology (Winter 2027)

About the role

We are seeking four graduate‑level Teaching Assistants to support the Introductory Immunology course (MIMM 214) during the Winter 2027 term. The role involves assisting the professor with course logistics, grading, and student communication, while providing a high‑quality learning experience for undergraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and correct formative assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Organise two pre‑exam review sessions—one before the midterm and one before the final.
• Respond promptly to student emails and discussion‑board questions.
• Support invigilation of quizzes and the midterm, and host viewing sessions for exam results.
• Assist the professor with teaching logistics, including preparation of materials and coordination of classroom activities.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a graduate program in Microbiology and Immunology or a related immunology‑focused graduate degree.
• Demonstrated solid understanding of immunology concepts.
• Previous successful experience in MIMM 214 or a comparable immunology course is highly desirable.
• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English; French proficiency is a plus.
