Software Engineer (Mobile Applications)

About the role

Join Scotiabank’s Global Payment Solutions team as a Mobile Applications Software Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain native iOS and Android apps while collaborating with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, user‑friendly payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot code under supervision.
• Research technical issues and propose solutions.
• Develop test cases, perform testing, and create user documentation.
• Provide production support for internal user groups during business hours.
• Stay current with mobile development trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mobile development (iOS, Android, or cross‑platform frameworks such as React Native).
• Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes and security practices.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
