Site Supervisor – Automatic Pedestrian Entrances

About the role
The Site Supervisor coordinates the installation of automatic pedestrian entrances at customer sites across the Calgary region. Acting as the primary on‑site contact, the Supervisor ensures high‑quality delivery, safety compliance, and seamless communication between contractors, technicians, and company administration.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main on‑site liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits at critical milestones and assess site readiness before installation.
- Perform on‑site measurements, read and interpret architectural, construction, and shop drawings, and generate detailed procurement lists.
- Coordinate with sales, office, factory, and warehouse teams to align drawings, orders, and materials with site conditions.
- Track project changes, change orders, and scope deviations.
- Supervise, schedule, and support Automatic Door Technicians.
- Enforce NABCO safety policies, conduct safety assessments, and ensure PPE compliance.
- Manage procurement, inventory, and delivery using SAP and scheduling systems.
- Provide person‑hour estimates, monitor budgets, timelines, and contractual commitments.
- Perform quality inspections, resolve deficiencies, and ensure compliance with standards and accessibility codes.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of supervisory or field‑lead experience in construction, preferably in glazing or automated pedestrian entrances.
- Post‑secondary education in engineering, electromechanics, construction management, or equivalent technical training.
- Strong communication, organizational, and safety‑focused mindset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, construction, and shop drawings.
- Technical knowledge of automated pedestrian door technology and installation processes.
- Understanding of ICI construction site operations, sequencing, and trades coordination.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in the construction sector.
