Senior Tax Analyst – Global Tax Function

About the role

The client is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join their Global Tax team in Vaughan. Reporting to the Manager, Global Taxation, the role focuses on Canadian income tax compliance, IFRS provision work, and supporting tax‑related projects across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual Canadian income tax provisions under IFRS, including supporting schedules.
• Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accurate balances across jurisdictions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing tax‑related information.
• Calculate tax installments, monitor refunds and assessments, and review corporate tax returns.
• Maintain tax records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Respond to tax inquiries and conduct research as needed.
• Assist in automating and improving tax processes and systems.
• Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders on tax projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA designation (completed or in progress) and/or Master of Taxation in progress.
• Minimum 3 years of Canadian corporate tax and reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and IFRS provisions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
