Senior Software Engineer – Clickpipes (CDC/Streaming)

About the role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Clickpipes (CDC/Streaming) team. The role is fully remote and open to candidates in any country where ClickHouse has a hiring presence.

Key responsibilities

• Build data‑intensive systems and high‑throughput integrations with databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Handle edge cases in production such as unconventional database setups, schema evolution, upgrades, failovers and large transactions.
• Design integration solutions that maximise ClickHouse performance and throughput.
• Own end‑to‑end reliability, debug complex production issues using diagnostics and observability tools.
• Develop and improve infrastructure to increase reliability, reduce incident response time and automate operations.
• Write clear public and internal documentation and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Drive product innovation, work directly with customers, collaborate cross‑functionally and lead technical discussions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building data‑intensive software solutions.
• Proficiency in Go or strong systems‑programming background with willingness to ramp up quickly in Go.
• Cloud‑native experience on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong problem‑solving and production debugging skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication for design docs, code reviews, customer calls and incident response.
