Senior Controller

About the role

As ZayZoon’s Senior Controller you will own the end‑to‑end financial reporting function, ensuring accurate, trustworthy numbers that drive strategic decisions. This hands‑on leadership position combines oversight of core accounting operations with partnership across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end close, and IFRS/US GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and continuous disclosure filings, presenting insights to senior leadership.
• Own the external audit process, managing auditor relationships and deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and approval frameworks that scale.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, intracompany eliminations, and SPV structures for reliable consolidated reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering a supportive environment.
• Use data analytics and financial modelling to surface insights and support smarter decision‑making.
• Identify and implement process improvements as the company grows.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
• Proven track record managing month‑end close, audits, financial reporting, and internal controls in a fast‑moving environment.
