Senior Business Project Lead

About the role

The Senior Business Project Lead will drive a multi‑year student transformation initiative at UBC, focusing on modernising business processes that support graduate students, faculty and staff across the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business‑process transformation and value‑realisation for the enterprise initiative.
• Engage stakeholders across the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the College of Graduate Studies to define future‑state processes and system requirements.
• Establish governance structures to ensure every decision aligns with measurable benefits and strategic goals.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Platforms, including Salesforce, to translate business needs into effective platform delivery.
• Define scope boundaries, benefits, and decision‑readiness criteria for the project.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale business transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills within a matrixed university environment.
• Ability to align requirements with strategic objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Direct reporting to senior leadership and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
