Sanitation Supervisor

About the role

The Sanitation Supervisor leads the facility sanitation program for a fast‑growing, family‑owned food manufacturing company. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this role ensures compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory and operational standards while supporting audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to the sanitation team across all shifts and production areas.
• Develop, document and maintain SOPs and SSOPs for cleaning processes.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Maintenance, Warehouse and Safety to meet CFIA, HACCP, GMP and internal sanitation requirements.
• Monitor chemical usage, water consumption and changeover times to drive lean improvements.
• Support regulatory and third‑party audits, and provide emergency coverage as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of sanitation leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety principles, SQF/BRC standards and federal regulations.
• Ability to coach a diverse crew and maintain high cleaning standards in a dynamic setting.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends or provide emergency coverage.
