Research Assistant/Technician 3 – Neurology Clinical Trials

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Assistant/Technician 3 to support industry‑funded and investigator‑initiated clinical trials within the Division of Pediatric Neurology. The role is based in the Connolly Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, and provides hands‑on experience in trial coordination and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit REB applications; obtain approvals for clinical studies.
• Invoice sponsors for completed work and manage study budgets.
• Identify, recruit, and consent eligible participants.
• Schedule on‑site or virtual visits and track follow‑up assessments.
• Complete case report forms, perform electronic data entry, and maintain study databases.
• Collaborate with study monitors, principal investigators, research director, and multidisciplinary support staff.

• Strong organizational abilities and high motivation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with participants, clinicians, and sponsors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
