Quality Engineering Lead

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Quality Engineering Lead to drive quality engineering and test automation for enterprise applications in Burnaby, BC. The role combines technical leadership, business analysis and product ownership to ensure high‑quality delivery in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategies, test design and automation frameworks.
• Lead automation initiatives using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
• Manage defect lifecycle, triage defects and produce quality metrics for release readiness.
• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements (BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria).
• Prioritise product backlog, support roadmap planning and feature validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams and distributed teams using Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews and optimise test scripts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or three years of progressive experience per year of education.
• At least 4 years of software testing experience in an IT environment.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work onsite in Burnaby or relocate.

Required skills

• Selenium WebDriver (or comparable automation tool).
• Automation framework development and maintenance.
• Functional, integration, regression, UAT, exploratory, compatibility and data‑validation testing.
• Defect lifecycle management and quality metrics.
• Requirement gathering, analysis and documentation.
• Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
• Object‑oriented programming concepts and code review.
