Quality Assurance Associate

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate for a 12‑month contract at its Mississauga facility. You will support the implementation and maintenance of quality control practices, ensuring compliance with Canadian and global regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and maintain Alcon Canada’s Quality Management System against Canadian GMP, ISO 13485, and Canadian Medical Device Regulations.
• Identify, document, and close Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Verify temperature reports for incoming products and ensure compliance with stability and release requirements.
• Perform product release activities, including handling of returned restockable items and inventory management.
• Update SOPs, forms, and processes to align with GMP, GXP, and corporate standards.
• Support local supplier qualification, quality agreements, and deviation management.
• Maintain on‑site quality records (stability, validation, traceability, annual reports) in accordance with GMP.
• Assist with internal audits and annual product reviews.
• Coordinate qualification and validation of GMP equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or high school + 8 years; Associate + 4 years).
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication in English.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
