About the role
Livingstone Range School Division is seeking a full‑time, probationary Grade 6 teacher who will also serve as the Division II Numeracy Lead at West Meadow Elementary School. The successful candidate will deliver engaging numeracy instruction while guiding school‑wide mathematics initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Grade 6 curriculum aligned with Alberta standards.
- Lead numeracy instruction across Division II classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers to strengthen math programming and assessment.
- Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional decisions.
- Support the development and implementation of school numeracy goals.
- Model innovative, differentiated teaching strategies.
Required profile
- Valid Alberta teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
- Strong understanding of the Alberta curriculum and numeracy outcomes.
- Experience teaching upper‑elementary mathematics and numeracy interventions.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and inclusive practices.
- Effective collaboration and classroom management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Alberta curriculum resources.
- Ability to use data‑driven instructional planning.
