About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a probationary full‑time Grade 6 teacher for Father Lacombe Catholic School. The appointment runs from August 27, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and supports the school’s mission to build a community of learners grounded in Faith and Gospel values.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Grade 6 curriculum in accordance with Alberta education standards.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate Catholic teachings.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Assist with co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programs as needed.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta teaching certification.
• Commitment to Catholic education and community values.
• Willingness to obtain a current criminal record check (including vulnerable sector) and Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check.
• Ability to work the full probationary term.
