Probationary Full-Time French Immersion Math/Science Teacher (Grades 5‑9)

About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a probationary full‑time French Immersion teacher to deliver Math and Science instruction to grades 5‑9 at École Mother d’Youville School in Beaumont, Alberta. The appointment runs from August 26, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and is part of a dual‑track English/French program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging French‑language Math and Science lessons aligned with the Alberta curriculum.
• Assess student learning, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Support co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to uphold Catholic education values.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta teaching certification or eligibility to teach.
• Fluency in French sufficient for immersion instruction.
• Ability to obtain a current criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check.
• Pastoral reference and a certificate in Catholic Education are assets.
