About the role
The University of British Columbia’s Hayden Laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead innovative projects focused on the genetics and molecular mechanisms of Huntington disease and to develop novel therapeutic approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise laboratory technicians, including recruitment and training.
- Conduct literature reviews and design experiments related to neurobiology and cell biology.
- Analyze and interpret data, prepare study reports, and present findings in lab meetings.
- Contribute to scientific manuscripts and grant applications.
- Coordinate projects with academic and industry partners and keep the principal investigator updated on progress.
Required profile
- PhD in biosciences or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of laboratory research experience.
- Strong background in cell biology with an emphasis on neurobiology.
- Demonstrated productivity, scientific independence, and a passion for brain disease research.
