Post Office Clerk – Customer Service & Retail

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Post Office Clerk to join our locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. In this role you will provide prompt, superior customer service at our retail postal outlet while keeping the checkout area organized and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm demeanor and assist them with all postal transactions.
• Accurately scan or enter product data, handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets and PC Optimum cards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and ensure proper merchandising of designated sections.
• Follow loss‑prevention standards, control cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Complete required documentation for receipts, returns and customer interactions.
• Adhere to uniform, dress code, health and safety regulations, and store policies.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented and capable of accurate record‑keeping.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficient computer and cash‑register operation.
• Experience handling cash, coupons, lottery tickets and loyalty cards.
• Understanding of loss‑prevention procedures.
