Plant Manager

About the role

JELD-WEN is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all operations at its Canadian manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager of Canada, the role focuses on delivering production targets while driving key performance indicators such as safety, quality, delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage all plant activities, ensuring alignment with JELD‑WEN’s mission and KPI framework.
• Coordinate production and departmental managers to achieve cost‑effective, timely manufacturing using LEAN processes.
• Develop, control, and implement the plant budget, optimizing profits through SQDCI, TPS, OTD and CI initiatives.
• Control operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and oversee capital‑asset projects.
• Monitor plant performance for safety, production, and quality, working with CI and safety teams.
• Maintain and upgrade plant facilities and equipment, collaborating with R&D and engineering on new product lines.
• Implement safety and preventative‑maintenance programs, emphasizing plant cleanliness and shop‑floor organization.
• Provide leadership, training, hiring, development and performance appraisal for managerial staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Proven experience managing a manufacturing plant or large production operation.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
