Pharmacy Assistant – Retail Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team across Canada. In this role you will support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate medication services while providing friendly customer care.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, verify prescription details and ensure accuracy before dispensing.
• Enter patient care information and prescription data into the pharmacy system.
• Process third‑party adjudications when required.
• Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory using inventory control systems.
• Answer over‑the‑counter enquiries and refer customers to the pharmacist as needed.
• Handle prescription pick‑up and ensure a smooth customer experience.

Required profile

• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset but not mandatory.

• Proficient computer and data‑entry skills.
