About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store as a Pharmacy Assistant, providing health, beauty, and convenience services to your community. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining pharmacy operations while ensuring a pleasant and timely experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, gather prescription information, and manage cash register transactions.
• Prepare and submit prescription orders, excluding controlled substances.
• Assist with prescription preparation, counting, measuring, packaging, and labeling according to pharmacy standards.
• Handle third‑party billing, online orders, and manual accounts.
• Answer phones, manage faxes, and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in pharmacy systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma; pharmacy assistant coursework preferred.
• Previous pharmacy or retail experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Effective problem‑solving and multitasking skills.
