About the role

CareRx Corporation, Canada’s leading specialty pharmacy provider for seniors, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its Alberta team. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, quality, and timely delivery of medication to residents across long‑term care and assisted‑living facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive verbal prescription orders, transcribe them accurately, and verify compliance with provincial regulations.
• Evaluate prescription appropriateness for patient safety and legal requirements.
• Complete third‑party adjudications and coordinate non‑sterile compounding and dispensing.
• Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians to maintain efficient, accurate distribution.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
• Adhere to safety standards, provide clinical services, and support team collaboration.

Required profile

• Current Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
• Experience using KROLL Pharmacy software.
• Prescribing authority is an asset.
• Supervisory experience in diverse pharmacy settings is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, colleagues, and health professionals.
