Patient Services Specialist (Casual)

About the role

Join FYidoctors' Barrie clinic as a Patient Services Specialist on a casual basis. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering friendly service in a fast‑paced eyecare environment. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, manage check‑in and check‑out processes in person, by phone, and via email.
• Perform pre‑testing procedures to assist comprehensive eye examinations.
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and handle billing and payments.
• Manage eyewear pick‑ups, perform minor repairs and adjustments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience.
• Assist with additional clinic duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is an asset.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for patient care.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
