Part‑Time Maintenance Worker for Senior Community

About the role

We are looking for a caring, reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team at Mountain Lake Seniors Community on a part‑time basis. You will help keep the building and grounds safe, functional, and welcoming for our senior residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance tasks.
• Execute work orders and preventative maintenance using the Maintenance Care system.
• Paint vacant suites and touch‑up common areas.
• Maintain building envelope, grounds, and ensure sidewalks, patios, and exits are clear of ice and snow in winter.
• Support the fire safety program and ensure compliance with building and fire codes.
• Log checks promptly and keep documentation up to date.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of relevant maintenance experience (preferred).
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
• WHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety certifications are assets.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building and fire codes.
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings.
• Operation of maintenance equipment (e.g., shovels, sanders, tools).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
