Part-Time Grocery Clerk

About the role

Join the Metro team at Food Basics as a Part‑Time Grocery Clerk. You will help keep the store well‑stocked, clean and welcoming while providing friendly assistance to shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves, ensuring items are placed correctly and rotated using a first‑in, first‑out method.
• Maintain clean aisles, sweep and mop floors, and promptly address spills.
• Assist customers in locating products, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
• Help customers load groceries into their vehicles when needed.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Set up and maintain promotional displays, end caps, signage and price tags.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to store cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
