Paralegal – PII Compliance (Remote, $40‑$70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our clients in managing personally identifiable information (PII) compliance. This remote contract role offers flexible hours (10‑40 hrs/week) and a competitive rate of $40‑$70 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to meet PII regulations while preserving data utility.
• Prepare and manage Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and other M&A documentation.
• Implement and maintain compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
• Advise on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII‑related issues.
• Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and training materials.

Required profile

• Minimum hands‑on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate setting.
• Proven ability to identify non‑obvious PII and apply advanced redaction techniques.
• Solid understanding of M&A processes, including CIMs and SPAs.
• Strong attention to detail when drafting and reviewing sensitive financial and corporate documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
